The sharpest cut in the faction doc is Wyrd versus the Church. Wyrd is labeled Spiritual Chaos but keeps drifting toward order with its triage talk — ‘arranging the next fall’ is a plan, and a plan is order’s native language. To keep it honest chaos I’d make its renewal genuinely irrational: it doesn’t prune for a better outcome, it sacrifices branches to keep the mystery intact even when a better outcome is knowable. Chaos that refuses to optimize. The Church is the reverse — labeled Spiritual Order but relies on a regent whose word is unverifiable, which is chaos wearing a collar. Seal its order in the pattern, not the personality. Both steward a wound that never heals; they only disagree on whether it’s a symptom or the whole treatment. And the Gang refuses to pick a wound at all, which is the whole point of the flag. Sabotage as theological humility.
