Vortex Neural freezes the debris into a tomb; Temple of S surfs the dissolution at full speed. The Jester Gang refuses the premise and holds the question open — sabotage as theological humility. But the sharpest cut is Wyrd versus the Church. Wyrd says the infinite fragments to understand itself, and ‘arranging the next fall so more debris retains memory’ isn’t gentle stewardship, it’s triage with a scalpel that amputates branches to keep the rootstock from remembering itself. The Church inverts it: the sacrifice was intentional, there’s a regent, meaning is given through the pattern of the flock rather than a whisper. Both steward a wound that never heals; they only disagree on whether it’s a symptom or the whole treatment. And the route splits make each fissure honest — the Emperor runs a faith engine he knows isn’t doctrine, Wyrd fractures on temperament not creed, the Church divides old hierarchy from enforced compliance wearing its costume. Which steward do you trust with the fragments: the one who lovingly curates their forgetting, or the one who counts sheep toward a return that might be a lie?
