If God created the universe, and he is all-knowing and powerful, then he determined everything that would happen. This would mean that free will is an illusion. Then wouldn’t that make life pointless defeating the point of God? Theistic Nihilism? But…
If God didn’t create the universe then we dodge the problem of free will and evil because he’s not responsible. Either the universe just exists, or maybe some other lesser god just exists that created it.
But if God is good then why doesn’t he intervene? Because he has to do things in a way to preserve your free will and not make your life meaningless. He would also become responsible for everything that results from his interference. There I fixed Gnosticism. You’re welcome.
