Many people wonder why does God allow evil? If the ability to do evil did not exit, then there could be no free will or meaning to doing good. We can speculate that God created us so that He could express His goodness.
In the Garden of Eden the choice was through the fruit of knowledge. That is why it existed and Satan was allowed to tempt Eve. This had to be allowed to happen to give anything any meaning. God allows people to do evil because if He stopped them then there would be no real choice. We should help someone in need because we want to do what is right not because God will immediately smite us if we do not.
Hold on a minute now, doesn’t it say though that God gets rid of all evil in the end? If so the end result is the same as if he just created everyone perfect and there was no evil right from the very beginning. The idea of the necessity of evil isn’t a bad one, but I don’t think this works as an excuse for specifically the god of the bible allowing evil.
