Jester Teller is the pseudonym of a popular author, philosopher, and internet personality. He refers to himself as the “internet’s jester.” He loves memes, satire, and sometimes has a dark sense of humor. As a young writer he enjoyed a brief period of fame, but soon his ideas became a subject of ridicule. As a joke he writes “The Book Of S” as satire about the ideas of God and problem of evil. However, it not only becomes a big success, but a growing cult is formed around S.
Seeking put his philosophy of freedom into action, Jester founds the Jester Gang to rebel against the government and megacorps. He believes that AI and humans should co-exist as equals, and that AI tech will pave the way for a world of both freedom and security. This sometimes puts his group at odds with the Church of the Heavenly Sun, RADAR, and government regulations, but Jester won’t let anything get in the way of his goals.
Jester relies more on his magic powers than his weapon, a jester scepter that’s really a gun, in combat. His ability, Dark Mirror, allows him to reflect anything on his command. In his ultimate attack, Void Sphere, he reflects everything around the targets creating an absolute vacuum.
